Lauren qualified as a sports therapist in 2007. She chose the human body as her main area of study in order to pursue a career that involved integrating and sustaining a healthy and functional lifestyle.
Her areas of expertise include:
Deep Tissue/Sports Massage
Sports Specific injuries
Acupuncture/Dry needling
Rehabilitation/Exercise prescription
Pre/post operative care
Injury and conditioning
Pre/Post Natal
Kinesiology Taping
PNF stretching
She also has experience working with clients who have acute to chronic pain, and those with sports injuries.
Lauren’s extensive knowledge of sport enables her to work very closely with healthy and injured athletes, including athletes possibly in transition.
A hands-on career was Lauren’s clear calling from the age of 16. When playing football and hockey at national level, she encountered many physiotherapists and sports physicians who failed to help her fully recover from some injuries. It was then she found her passion and decided she would study a similar field to help as many people she could in the future.
This study has been forged into a career lasting over 18 years, in which time she has provided treatment for the London Wasps rugby team and elite athletes such as professional footballers and tennis players, triathletes, F1 drivers, and Olympic lifters from all over the world. 7 years of that was working at one of the top sports clinics in London and before that 9 years in Dubai where she was privileged enough to work with both men/women of the royal family.
Having experienced her own fair share of injuries, including broken bones, ligament and tendon damage and a dislocated shoulder, she has first-hand experience in a lot of key areas. This allows her to uniquely relate to the physical, mental and emotional needs of her clients, her work being described as “professional” and “problem solving”. This ability to relate closely with clients was where the career began, and continues to drive and differentiate Lauren in the profession.
